NFL Waiver Wire – Week 8

by: Domagoj Erbežnik

We had a bunch of standout fantasy performances in Week 7 and one player on most lists in D’Onta Foreman who had a great game. This season we have limited fantasy production at the RB position and you can add him but I am not a big fan as Chicago doesn’t have a great offense. I would expect him to have a similar game this season and both Herbert and Jonhson should be back in the next few weeks.

1
Kareem Hunt - RB - Cleveland Browns
40% rosterd at NFL.com Fantasy

Jerome Ford is out for at least 1-2 weeks and this is a prime opportunity for Hunt to become a clear no. 1 RB in Cleveland behind a top 5 offensive line in the league. Last week Hunst scored 2 TDs and that was most of his production but in the following weeks, he can become a lead back with a great receiving volume. He is a clear no. 1 option at RB position on the waivers for me this week.

2
Josh Downs - WR - Indianapolis Colts
23.4% owned at NFL.com fantasy

Downs now has three weeks in a row with at least 5 receptions and he should be rostered in most leagues at this point as he has proven to be at least a second receiving option on the team and could even become a 1B option for fantasy playoffs. He is currently WR no. 26 in PPR formats and could easily finish the season as a top 20 WR. He is a great option on waivers as some great players will be on a bye week in the next few weeks and having Downs as your no. 4 or 5 option is a piece of great news for your fantasy team.

3
Dalton Kincaid - TE - Buffalo Bills
39,8% owned at NFL.com fantasy

Dawson Knox is injured and will be unavailable for some time for the Bills and during that time Kincaid will become a TE that will play more than 85% of snaps and could likely become a no. 2 receiving option behind Stefon Diggs on a team that scored at least 25 points per game. If he is on your waiver wire make sure to have him on your team if you don’t own either Kelce, Hockenson, Kittle, or Goedart. Relistically don’t expect him to have 8 receptions every week like in week 7 but he should give you at least 10 points per game moving forward.
