DeVonta Smith - Philadelphia Eagles
2022 stats: 1196 receiving yards, 7 receiving TDs, 95 receptions (136 targets) in 17 games played

He is one of the best young receivers in the league but his QB is Jalen Hurts who has a great rushing game and that dips DeVonta’s value as a receiver in my eyes. He will still be a good fantasy option but with all the options on that offense this year (Swift at RB, Brown, Smith, and Dallas Goedert in the receiving game) I have a hard time putting him in the top 15 if everybody on that offense can stay healthy for most of the season. At his current ADP as a pick in the last 2nd or early 3rd round I am avoiding him and if you want a part of that offense take Dallas Goedert much later in the draft.

Good categories: Targets/Receptions
Bad categories: TDs

Amari Cooper - Cleveland Browns
2022 stats: 1160 receiving yards, 9 receiving TDs, 78 receptions (132 targets) in 17 games played

Do we believe that Deshaun Watson can return to his form the days in Houston? That should be the question everyone asks themself before drafting Cooper. He will be a clear no. 1 option in the passing game for Watson and the only concern is his production in the red zone as Watson looks to prefer Njoku in that part of the field. He is being ranked in a part of the draft where are mostly running backs being picked so if you want to pick wide receiver in the late 3rd or early 4th round going with him or Hopkins should be a good decision (expecting that Calvin Ridley is already of the board).

Good categories: Targets/Receptions, Health

DeAndre Hopkins - Tennessee Titans
2022 stats: 717 receiving yards, 3 receiving TDs, 64 receptions (97 targets) in 9 games played

Hopkins is a clear no. option in Tennessee this year and he showed last season that he can still be a great wide receiver. His last full season was in 2020 when he had 1407 receiving yards on 160 targets and I would expect him to have similar numbers or slightly worse if he can stay healthy full season and I would expect him to do so. He is a good option similar to players like Godwin who have a high floor but not as high of a ceiling as some players on much better passing teams. In the end, he is still a great wide receiver who will have a big share of targets on his team. If you need a steady option as your wide receiver no. 2 between rounds 4 and 5 he is a great option.

Good categories: Targets (No real competation)
Bad categories:

DK Metcalf - Seattle Seahawks
2022 stats: 1048 receiving yards, 6 receiving TDs, 90 receptions (141 targets) in 17 games played

DK Metcalf is a part of one of the best-receiving trios in the NFL and I believe Geno will spread the ball around by having three great options. DK will likely be a focus for defenses but can you stop him is a question. If I have to pick one of three wide receivers from Seattle at their current ADP I would take DK last and that isn’t because he will have a down year it is because there are better options around his ADP and getting Lockett and JSN much later in drafts at a much better value. Lockett had a similar number as DK for the last few years and I think this year will be a similar story.

Good categories: Targets/Receptions, Health
Bad categories:
20
Chris Godwin - Tampa Bay Buccaneers
2022 stats: 1023 receiving yards, 3 receiving TDs, 104 receptions (142 targets) in 15 games played

Godwin and Tampa Bay were one of the worst offenses in the NFL last year and even if that happens again he will be ok fantasy option and will finish as a top 30 wide receiver But if they can improve and look at their schedule they can then Godwin becomes a top 20 wide receiver. Godwin and Evans are the only real receiving options for Mayfield to throw to. A lot of people avoid drafting him this year and at his current ADP, he is a good option that has a high floor and should be a very consistent fantasy player for them. On the other hand, he doesn’t have as high of a ceiling as most players drafted around him if you like to play boom-or-bust game with your wide receiver no. 2 or no. 3 option.
