NFL 2023 Fantasy Season – WR Rankings (26.-30.)
He should be the clear no. 1 option in Green Bay and should continue his form from late last season. The big question is Jordan Love who looked impressive in preseason but can he continue with his form in the regular season? He is an interesting option but at his current ADP, I would elsewhere for a WR in a better situation. Watson certainly has a high ceiling if things go right. Still expect him to have boom-and-bust games throughout the season as he showed last season.
With his big contract, I would expect that the 49ers will include Deebo more in the offense this season but even if they do he is still no. 3 option behind Christian McCaffrey and George Kittle and will need to stay healthy to contribute to your fantasy team if one of them goes down. This offense is weird and I don’t really trust in Brock Purdy so I would avoid drafting any of their receivers at their current ADP. We have both Christian McCaffrey and Elijah Mitchell healthy at the start of the season and I would expect that a bulk of the 49ers’ offense will go through them and George Kittle. I would rather have on my fantasy team players like DJ Moore, Keenan Allen, DeAndre Hopkins, and even Mike Williams and Christian Kirk.
The big question with the Broncos’ receiving core is what type of season we can expect from Russell Wilson and that will dictate where we should draft their receivers if we even want to draft them. I would expect Wilson to improve with new head coach Sean Peyton and will again be a top 12 QB in 2023 and you have a similar opinion Jeudy is a top 30 WR with Sutton just behind him. Jeudy is still no. 1 option or he should be but don’t be surprised if they are very close at the end of the season. He is currently dealing with a small injury but that shouldn’t keep him out for long (could even play week 1). He could fall in the draft at the moment and if you have a good receiving core for the first few weeks he could be a still later on in the season.
Last year as a no. 1 option for Murray he had 465 receiving yards (45 receptions on 66 targets) through the first 6 games of the season with 3 TDs and that is a good sign for teams that will pick him up in fantasy drafts. Brown is a player you should definitely look to draft as the Cardinals are expected to be behind in most of the games and will have to throw the ball a lot. When Murray returns around week 5 Brown will be a viable fantasy option every week as his no. 1 option. He is still only 26 years old and this could be a good season for him to break out.
Evans is still a big body that will be targeted in the red zone by Baker Mayfield and is definitely an interesting option at his current ADP this season. This will likely be his last season in Tampa and he will have to perform to earn a good deal in the summer when he becomes a free agent. Tampa also has a favorable schedule at the end of the season with games against Atlanta Falcons, Green Bay Packers, and Jacksonville Jaguars in Weeks 14, 15, and 16. He should again be over 105 targets (lowest in his career at 109 in 2020) even with Baker Mayfield as his QB. He has played at least 15 games in 8 out of his 9 seasons in the NFL so you can be quite sure that he will be available to step up for your fantasy team if someone goes down.
